Nightshade

Words by Matt Huxley

I’m fully excited for winter. There it is. Damn the Aussie stereotype of tanned skin and crashing waves, all I want is chilling cold and translucent skin. With the advent of Autumn, I can finally start breaking out the long layers and draped clothing that gets me going.

But casual dressing at night can be tough at the best of times, particularly if you don’t want to go for the generic button up and chinos look. I picked up this overlong tee and hoody from H&M the other week and their draped monochrome really makes it a combo suitable for casual nights out.

I’m also really loving the choker/narrow scarf trend that’s currently sweeping women’s fashion, so I decided to do my own little take on it with this Demian Renucci choker that I picked up. It adds the perfect amount of punk to this look, taking it to the next level.

This look was shot by the amazing Ant Cox, check out his work @paintedrust on Instagram, or on his site here.
