Black Widow

There’s something effortlessly chic about dressing in all black. It perfectly straddles that line between Miranda Priestley and basic bitch. Basic because it’s literally a basic, and high fashion because lezbereal. Black IS fashion.

Whilst the middle of summer probably isn’t the most appropriate time for black on black, I refuse to compromise my sartorial ideals for mere sun. Having said that when I shot this it was a cooler day, near dusk and breezy. So that may have changed my perception. But yaknow. It looks cool.

I’m a huge huge fan of this shirt as you know. Being made of a bonded cotton, it’s a bit more rigid than other shirts, meaning that the larger box sleeve really stands out. Natch this got paired with the ubiquitous black jeans, they just make me so happy. I’m also wearing my new boots, which I bought in India. I’m loving the buckle detail on this, as well as the slightly-larger-then-I’m-used-to heel.

However the main feature of this look is obvs these super cool half gloves which I got off eBay. They just add that perfect touch of film noir to the look.
