Reinventing old classics is one the things I’m all about over here on Infirm of Purpose. Taking the quintessential business attire that every man already has in his closet, and subverting it to make it bang on trend, classy and still suitable for the office.

The typical white button up can be made fresh and exciting through the addition of a few pieces. Firstly I’ve updated the typical pant by opting for something slimline and cropped – it’s all about dat mankle. These I had custom made in Vietnam, BUT, you can achieve a similar look by simply rolling up the hems of your usual tailored slacks.

Finally I’ve continued over the current womenswear choker trend with my own take using a skinny scarf. Adding the odd unisex piece to your repertoire can allow you to explore trends, yet still retaining your masculine aesthetic. Perfect for businesswear!
