Playing With Uppercut Deluxe

Words by Matt Huxley

Uppercut Deluxe is a mens haircare brand that’s been on the market for quite a few years now, developing a solid reputation for high quality products that are actually good. As opposed to most of the crap that’s on the Australian haircare market. So when the opportunity to test a few of their products came up, I jumped. Literally. I selected the Featherweight pack. Having very thin hair (cheers parents) anything stronger is generally too heavy for it. The struggle is real.

Shampoo and Conditioner

The UD shampoo and conditioner is absolutely beautiful. Tailored specifically for men, it lacks a lot of the heavy oils that are typically present in female-oriented products. This means that it won’t drag your mane down and keep the body there. They also have a really invigorating peppermint scent.

Featherweight Wax

The star of the Featherweight Pack, is the namesake wax. Smooth and easily workable, this is a beautiful product. What I especially like about it is that it’s easily buildable without leaving a whole lot of product residue. This is for sure worth a test for anyone looking for a new wax.

Each pack includes a black comb. Ain’t that cute.
