Take Thee To A Nunnery

Words by Matt Huxley

Black and white is truly the staple of most people’s wardrobes – mine included. Naturally mine is a bit more on the black side (all the better to cover my lumps and bumps with). But wearing black and white together can be more striking sometimes than wearing a bunch of bright colours.

Whilst on set shooting this outfit, it dawned on me that not only was black and white striking, but it was also making me look a bit like a nun or priest. Hence the title. And you know what? I’m ok with that. It may not be a full priestly collar, but it’s about as far as I’m prepared to go, lest my skin start smoking.

To put together this nun look I hit up my old staples. Asos loose black jumper (and when I wear it on its own, my slutty jumper.) Roger David white collared shirt, Armani jeans and my ubiquitous black points. Seriously I need new shoes.

This look was shot and edited by the incredibly fabulous Elise from Offbeat Imaging, who had me cracking up all day and ignoring all the people who were staring at the tennis court (definitely not sponsored by Yonex FYI). Go check out her work here and here, and follow her on Instagram – @offbeatimaging.

As always, throw me some love on Instagram – @infirmofpurpose – and on Facebook. And leave your thoughts down in the comments below!
